For the next decade Kevin led numerous efforts to streamline services, implement complicated projects, and plan and respond to emergencies at the municipal level for New York City. First at the Department of Citywide Services in the Office of the Commissioner and then at the NYC Administration for Children’s Services as an Assistant Commissioner, Kevin led projects that saved millions of dollars of taxpayer funds, while retasking employees to add more value to the public and the organization. Additionally, Kevin led inter- and intra-agency efforts around Emergency Management planning and response including Hurricanes Irene and Sandy, numerous snowstorms and heatwaves, and the Ebola crisis.
